Registration: Online pre-registration closes at Noon on Friday 11/4.
The first 400 pre-registered riders receive a gift bag full of fun from local businesses, such as us, The Portland Bottle Shop, PDX Sliders, The Limelight, Collage, Bob’s Red Mill, and more! (It’s one gift bag per rider.)
Pre-registration packet pick-up is 4-7p Friday 11/4 at Sellwood Cycle Repair. (These may be picked up at the venue on Saturday or Sunday.)
Day-of registration at the venue for Saturday and Sunday is available–but with a late fee.
Numbers: OBRA cloth numbers will be worn. Extras are available for riders without them.
Timing: E8 Timing will manage results. Chip pick-up is at the venue, both days.
Camping: Overnight camping at Oaks Amusement Park is available for Friday and Saturday nights. Cost is $20 per night. Registration is now available online.
Course Preview: There will not be an official Friday preview time, but the course will be almost done by 4p. Interpret thusly. Note both Saturday and Sunday generously offer 90-100 minutes of course preview time.
It’s going to be an epic muddy and sandy mess. You and your bike will suffer this weekend–terribly. Come as you are, and know this livin’ is just a hard way to do.
Harvest CX Party…and more: The series awards party for Harvest CX will be at Sellwood Cycle Repair 6:30-8:30p Saturday 11/5! The Open & Women Singlespeed OBRA Championship races will be awarded, too! Prizes for all attendees will be raffled-off, as well. Please join the party!
Change to Saturday Race Categories: The “Open 4” & “Women 4” categories in the morning are now OBRA Championship races! (Please see notes below.)
Awards: The top-3 in all Championship categories for both Saturday and Sunday will be awarded custom medals as well as other prizes. Top-3 in all non-championship categories for both days will be awarded prizes.
The top-3 Open & Women Singlespeed will also receive special prizing. Stay tuned!
The top-25% in Open & Woman 1/2 categories will also be awarded 75% of their fields’ received entry fees–with equal payout, of course. Please sign up for these races: the more racers, the more placers–and more pay!
Saturday and Sunday podiums and award ceremonies will be held throughout the day. The exception is Singlespeed, which will be awarded at the Harvest CX Series party.
Notes on Saturday & Sunday Races:
The Open & Women Championship races on Saturday are for all “Age-Class” and “Singlespeed” categories. Riders of all skill-levels–“Novice”, “4”, “3”, “2”, and “1”–are eligible for their racing age-class and/or Singlespeed categories. (Racing age-class for cyclocross is the athlete’s age in 2023–not 2022.)
The “Open 4” & “Women 4” categories in the morning are now OBRA Championship races! The Novice categories, however, remain non-championships. (We recognize category 4- and Novice-level athletes may not wish to race with higher-level athletes in Age-Class races.)
Athletes who typically choose the “Clydesdale” or “Athena” categories may race in the 4 or Novice categories if at one of those levels. They may also race in Age-Class categories–and/or in Singlespeed.
Every athlete has a home–and more than one–on Saturday!
The Open & Women 2/3 and 1/2 Championship races on Sunday are for all athletes with category “3”, “2”, and “1” licenses. Athletes who don’t typically choose the 2/3 or 1/2 categories because they’re used to, for example, Masters 35+ 1/2, Masters 35+3, Masters 50+ and so on, are encouraged to test themselves in these Championship races! Otherwise, the usual OBRA categories are still available.
Note there’s no Singlespeed category on Sunday–in order to accommodate the Team Relay Party race! Therefore, athletes who typically only race in Singlespeed can choose a different category. Most will have multiple options.
Like Saturday, the Sunday schedule offers three course previews of at least 30 minutes–a lot of time to test the course and then recover for a race later in the day!
Email bridgecitycx@sellwoodcycle.com with questions about the registration process, concerns about category selection, and/or need to make changes to your requests.
